Kit Buildwithhubs

To build the Dôm & Stick which is a 3V 5/8 type model, I bought a kit from Buildwithhubs.com.

This company was born from an initiative started on KickStarter according to the notice.

My kit arrived in a fabric bag, it's rare enough to be specified.

Inside, it's in "bulk" mode but everything is there: connectors, screws, Allen key, end caps, washers, wing nuts, instructions (only in English).

 Namely that the V3 5/8 kit is a "beta" kit, the instructions are that of the classic 2V kit but the various information and other tips remain valid I imagine (.. I hope ^^).

To validate the lengths calculated using the site simulator, I just climbed the top.

It was done without worries but my sticks are in class 4 pine with a section of 27 * 38mm and I wanted to put the large side "flat".

 

This may be complicated because the sticks almost touch ... to see during the rest of the assembly.

Another thing, the 2V kit is designed to be assembled quickly, the 3v 5/8 may take a little longer. And the preparation also, there are 80 + 55 + 30 or 165 sticks to cut and there are 2 tips on each stick .. in short the battery of the drill needs to be charged!

Note that the delivery (from UK to France) was quite fast (3-4 days);)!

 Pour construire le Dôm&Stick qui est un  modèle type 3V 5/8, j'ai acheté un kit de chez Buildwithhubs.com .

  

Cette entreprise est née d'une initiative démarrée sur KickStarter d'après la notice . 

Mon kit est arrivé dans un sac en tissu , c'est assez rare pour être précisé.

A l'intérieur, c'est en mode "vrac"  mais tout y est : connecteurs , vis , clé BTR,embouts , rondelles, écrous papillons, notice (seulement en Anglais) ..

  

 

A savoir que le kit V3 5/8 est un "beta" kit , la notice est celle du kit 2V classique mais les différentes infos et autres astuces restent valables j'imagine (..j'espère ^^ ). 

Pour valider les longueurs calculées grâce au simulateur du site, j'ai juste monté le sommet .

 

 

Cela s'est fait sans soucis mais mes sticks sont en pin en classe 4 avec une section de 27*38mm et je voulais mettre "à plat" le grand côté .

Cela risque d'être compliqué car les sticks se touchent presque ..à voir durant la suite du montage .

 

Autre chose, le kit 2V est prévu pour être monté rapidement , le 3v 5/8 risque de prendre un peu plus de temps . Et la préparation également, il y a 80 + 55 + 30 soit 165 sticks à découper et il y a 2 embouts sur chaque stick ..bref la batterie de la perçeuse a intérêt à être chargé!

   

A noter que la livraison (provenance UK) a été assez rapide (3-4 jours) ;) !
